The 32nd Surajkund international Crafts Mela 2018


The 32nd Surajkund Crafts Mela 2018  is an annual cultural festival Haryana celebrates every year with the combination of vibrant shades of tradition and crafts ,the fest took place this year on  02February and ended today 18februrary in Faridabad, Haryana. It is a joint venture of the Haryana Tourism and Surajkund Craft Mela Authority and is considered as one of the most significant tourism event in Haryana. A lot of national and international tourists visit this Mela, Various folk artists also come from different parts to perform over here to experience a vivid mixture of tradition, culture, art, craft, music, dance, etc . Moreover, the colorful ambiance and the immersive cultural ethos have delighted every heart with joy  who visited this vibrant festival this year or before.
Surajkund Mela not only represents the richness and diversity of India through skilled Indian craftsmen, artisans, weavers, and workers but Pottery, sculptures, embroidery, weaving items are also be seen in the Mela along with metal work and wooden work.  The natural craft involved in the handlooms, handicrafts and cultural fabrics demonstrate the diversity of the culture of India other than the art and craft.

 A lot of cultural programs, open-air theatres , chaupals and folk dances taken a central focus point at the Mela to glorifying the surroundings of the place as a usual events every year. 
       Food is always an important aspect of the Surajkund Crafts Mela with cuisines from nearly all states of India to have experience of  the joy of eating numerous Indian dishes with a flavour of Unity in diversity. 
The term Surajkund means “the Lake of the Sun”. There was a Tomar chieftain named Surajpal who built a sun pool and amphitheater there. Surajkund is an artificial lake constructed in the backdrop of the Aravalli hills. Surajkund was a simple tourist destination, but in 1987, the first Surajkund Mela was organised and after that, it became one of the most popular tourist sites of Haryana where centuries-old crafts and traditions of India are given importance

India is a land of diversity where Indian festivals are the way to express ones happiness in the form of varied cultural beliefs. Though there is no dearth of festivals in the Haryana festival list but the most unique Surajkund Mela is the hub of all celebration. Millions of tourists form different corners of the world relish themselves at Surajkund Mela.


People take full pleasure of sightseeing, adventure sports, wildlife and other tours along with the most favorite of all the shopping. At festivals of Haryana in February the travelers enjoy most at Surajkund Mela as the very popular festival of Haryana and also the main attraction for tourists all around the world..

INDO-NEPAL TRADE FAIR AND TOURISM FESTIVAL 2018

The 2nd edition of Indo-Nepal Trade Fair and Tourism Festival for promoting art culture & green products kicked off from February 2 at the Parade Ground in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India.
The 7-day fair is organised by Kanchanpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) with the help of Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Export Promotion Centre. The fair is also  promoted by Nepal Tourism Board, Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce & Industry and Embassy of Nepal, New Delhi, India.

The whole literary idea this year was focused around  protecting Wild life and the Environment in the changing world equation today under the pressing need to work for peace and tranquality altogether.
